Be at Oracle Open World 2009 was a great experience for me. There I could met many people with the same interest: JD Edwards. One of this persons I met was Jean McCelland. We met in the Larry Ellison Keynote on the blogger section. I was there with my web cam transmitting live video in my "edition island" and we started to talk, exchanged some business cards...

Well, she wrote a complete report that represents the Oracle Open World spirit with so many details as well as statistics, networking, how green was the conference and so on. She sent this report to me in a while, but now I'd like to share with you this wonderful work!

My final consideration is that you should take this exam, even if you're not a financial specialist. Don't worry if you're a developer, or another area consultant. All businesses has to pay and receive money. So, being a certified professional you can add more value to your career.

JD Edwards Certification

Hello everybody!

I'm back after a while with some interesting news about a theme that is not discussed in some years for JD Edwards: Certification.


First I have a question: 


- Do you know exactly if Oracle has a Certification program focused on JDE?


Just try to google it and see what happens... Not so good news, right?? 
I could see in many posts and comments only bad things about certification and in one blog comment, someone said that Oracle wants to terminate JDE and that JDE has only more 5 years to exist!! OH My!!!


Of course they're
WRONG!!
Since December 1st 2009, Oracle HAS a Certification program to JDE!


No, I'm not kidding!! Well, it's not so easy to find, but, after many years (2003 was the last one?) we got our first certification program for Financials.


So why do you care about JD Edwards certification???


It's simple: CREDIBILITY!


For the professional:

The Oracle Certified Specialist branded credentials are typically foundation-level implementation-oriented certifications targeted at employees of current Oracle partners, employees of integrators seeking to become Oracle partners and individuals who plan to apply for work with Oracle-authorized partners. Additionally these certifications would be applicable to anyone who wishes to add credibility and broaden their skill sets on specific Oracle products.

Oracle Certified Specialist certification credentials validated essential knowledge and skills working with key Oracle products and can be important assets to individuals working on client implementations. In addition to the credibility that these certifications provide in some cases they may lead to higher-level or broader-level certifications from Oracle University.

For the partner:

OPN Certified Specialist 

The Oracle PartnerNetwork Certified Specialist is a new designation that identifies and endorses those Oracle Partners who have completed specified requirements for select Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Certified Expert (OCE), and Oracle Certified Specialist (OCS) certifications.

Oracle Partner employees who complete the certification requirements (for these select certifications) using their official OPN company ID will now also be awarded the OPN Certified Specialist designation for the technology as well as the original underlying OCA, OCP, OCE, or OCS credential, and their achievement is credited toward their company's OPN Specialized recognition.

So, let's go to the point:



JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management Certified Implementation Specialist

The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management Specialization is for individuals focused on selling and implementing JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management modules. The exam targets the intermediate-level implementation team member. Up to date training and field experience are recommended.

This certification is available to all candidates but is geared toward members of the Oracle PartnerNetwork. OPN members earning this certification will be recognized as OPN Certified Specialists, which helps their companies qualify for the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial Management Specialization.


All right, if you're excited with these news, look at this: - Do you know how much it will cost for you or your business? Well, Oracle is implementing this first approach on beta version, with more questions, you'll have the opportunity to evaluate those questions and you'll get more time as well. By the other side, this will cost only $50.00 - fifty dollars. But remember, this is a Beta exam!


 It's a reasonable exchange. I have no idea how much this certification will cost in a future, but by doing this on this time it's a really good and cheap way to get your certification.
