Recent Comments Feature

Looking into blogger "gadgets" I found the " Recent Comments " gadget. So, I decided to add this right below the contribuitors section and now we are able to see any comment in our entire blog! My Oracle Support

There we go!! Oracle Support is online and as I can see, with many improvements!! Oracle is doing a great job acting with pro-activity to manage and solve user's (in this case, OUR) problems! The dashboard and many other sections are ENTIRELLY running on FLASH; it load very straight and fast (well, my connection at home is 8MB; please let me know if have performance issues in slower internet connections). My last case was there with all details, I clicked on "Upload" link on attachment, and a screen pop-up to upload options... Very cool! Well, let's see what's happen during the week! Stay tuned on us, because this week will be a great week for JDEFusion community!! Good news are comming!

OracleMetaLink 3 Upgrade to My Oracle Support Begins August 28, 2009

Deploying Oracle Database Vault to protect JD Edwards Application Data Just Got Easier

Oracle Database Vault has now been certified with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and you can download default policies to make deployment even easier. The default policies will establish the following realms: Application Protection Realm to prevent privileged users from accessing sensitive information; Configuration Protection Realm to protect the application meta data against unauthorized changes; and, Command Rule to authorize the JD Edwards application connections to the Oracle Database based on IP address and client application. Whta do these policies do? The first one limits privileged database users like DBAs from accessing the application data. They can still perform operational database functions but just can't read or update the data. The second one protects the application itself by making sure there are no unauthorized changes to the application meta data that determines application behavior.
